General
What makes wAlly different from other online courses?
We’re not just another bootcamp. Wally is built to be accessible, inclusive, and co-designed by our students. You’ll be shaping a real platform while learning — and your feedback directly helps improve access for others.
Is this program really free?
Yes — if you’re selected for sponsorship, your entire experience at wAlly is fully funded. That includes not just tuition, but also access to premium software, learning tools, accessibility support, and even stipends for those with additional financial needs. WAlly is open to all women, and sponsorship is available for eligible participants during our pilot. 🌱
Who can apply for wAlly?
All women can apply! While wAlly is open to everyone, we prioritize sponsorship for women facing barriers — including single mothers, women with disabilities, immigrants, LGBTQIA+ women, and those in recovery or financial hardship. If this is you, you’re not just eligible — you’re exactly who we built this for 💜
Do I need design or tech experience?
Not at all! wAlly is made for beginners. We’ll walk you through every step with mentorship, real projects, and supportive coaching. Just bring your motivation — we’ll help you grow from there 🌸
What will I learn in the pilot course?
In 90 hours, you’ll learn UX fundamentals, accessibility-first design, research, wireframing, and usability testing. You’ll work on real projects and build your first portfolio — all with support from people who understand your lived experience.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes! You’ll receive a certificate of completion, and we’ll also support your next steps with career resources and potential hiring connections.
Why should I choose Wally?
Because we’re building this platform with and for women like you. Our courses are designed by women with lived experience. We understand the barriers — and we’re not just offering education, we’re creating opportunity and belonging.
How do I join?
Joining is easy! Start by signing up for the waitlist. If you’re a fit for our pilot cohort, we’ll reach out and walk you through the next steps. It’s your time to bloom 🌷
Where is the course offered?
The program is fully online, with optional in-person sessions during our pilot in Vancouver, BC 🇨🇦. Wherever you are, you can be an wAlly 💻 🌎

You are our priority. We’re testing this platform with real users — women with diverse needs — to make sure it works for you. You won’t just be accommodated, you’ll help us lead the way in inclusive design.
